Gamana pick
Handpicked by Gamana for quality, clarity of meeting point, and a strong local story.
2.5 hours in Eugene where the only thing you check your phone for is the next clue. It gets you quickly. Ten minutes in you are arguing happily about where the story is taking you, and the rest of the afternoon disappears. That is the thing about a good story in a good city: it absorbs you without asking you to concentrate. Four stops, each revealed as you play, with something running underneath all of them that only comes together at the end. The phone does the bookkeeping, so the people do the playing. You spend the afternoon looking up, not down: at the city, and at the people you are with. Everyone finds their moment. Someone sees what everyone missed. Someone else remembers something from the first stop that suddenly matters. You will look up at the end and be surprised how much of Eugene you have covered. The afternoon will feel like it lasted half as long as it did, and you will want to do it again. Know before you go • It is outdoors, takes about 2.5 hours and has four stops. The route is built to be walked, and a bus or taxi between stops is fine if you prefer. • Play solo or in a team of 2 to 6. Groups larger than 6 are welcome and are split into several teams. • Only the meeting point is shared in advance. The rest is revealed as you play. • Keep an eye on traffic, weather, opening hours and what is around you. • Open matchmaking departures run Sundays at 3:00 PM in the destination’s local time, so everyone who wants a team is pooled onto the same departure. Booking privately? Start any day, at any half hour from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM. • Plans change: cancel any time up to 45 minutes after your departure and choose a credit for the full amount you paid (valid 12 months on any quest), a free reschedule, or a refund of your full payment minus the non-refundable payment processing fee. • After the quest has loaded, temporary connection loss is supported and queued activity can synchronize when connectivity returns. • No paid attraction admission is required to complete the standard quest. • Still the only player one hour before an open departure? We email you how many players have signed up, and you choose: play the quest solo, reschedule for free, take a credit for the full amount, or get a refund minus the non-refundable payment processing fee.
Book your way
Bring your own group and keep it private, or book an open departure and be teamed up with other players. Teams are 2 to 6, and solo play works too.
Meet at Skinner Butte City Park
It is the only stop you know in advance. From there your phone takes over: no guide, no clipboard, nobody talking at you.
Four stops, one story
Each stop is revealed as you play. The route is built to be walked, and a bus or taxi is fine if you prefer.
Missions made for talking
Some need a sharp eye, some need the whole team, and most end with everyone laughing. Anything your team would rather skip can be skipped.
Save the best for last
The final stop is chosen for a reason, and the story saves its best mission for it. We will not spoil it.
Take the story home
You leave with the photos and a story you will be retelling for a while.
